Seeing the Annapurnas, Dhualagiri and Tibet stretching out in the distance is a once-in-a-lifetime experience
Introduction
"We really got to know the people running the lodges and enjoyed finding out about their culture; especially the Tibetan end; we really hadn't been exposed to that previously." CMThis is a fantastic trek; it's challenging, beautiful and culturally satisfying. It's a great opportunity to observe the Tibetan and Sherpa cultures and also the holy significance of the Gosainkunda Lakes to the Hindu and Buddhist Nepalis.
Join us on the Langtang and Gosainkunda Trek
- Supporting Langtang. The local people on the entire trek are very warm and welcoming. Langtang Village has been re-built since the devastating earthquake in 2015 and the teahouses have been built to a higher standard (some have en-suite bathrooms).
- Our itinerary and acclimatisation schedule is carefully designed. We stay overnight at Gosainkunda Lakes (4380m), which is why we acclimatise by trekking the Langtang side first.
- The trek is led by a highly experienced Jagged Globe Sherpa Guide. They are supported by a Nepalese Sirdar who knows the trek well, plus porters.
Experience Required
The Langtang and Gosainkunda trek is suitable for keen walkers/trekkers who are able to walk for 7 - 8 hours in a day, with a light rucksack. It is a popular trek for those returning to Nepal who are interested in visiting a different area.Additional Information
