UPDATE: Himlung Himal summit

Update: 22 October. Congratulations to Edith & Mingmar Dorji Sherpa who made it to the top of Himlung this morning. Now returning to CII. The rest of the team members turned back from CIII and are now coming down to CI.


Update: 20 October. The team are in Camp 2, having arrived there at 1400hrs this afternoon. They plan to move to Camp 3 tomorrow.

The team have been resting in base camp having acclimatised to Camp 2 and are planning to summit on Sunday 22 October. There was some snow at base camp yesterday and they have enough time to let things settle before setting off on their summit push tomorrow. At the moment the weather looks good Saturday - Monday with low summit winds and clear skies. We wish them the best of luck!
