Nepal Autumn season update

Last weekend two of our teams arrived in Nepal (Saribung and Himlung Himal). They were delayed in Kathmandu by two days, due to the bad weather on arrival. The Himlung team arrived in Meta at 1630 today and are walking to Phu tomorrow "a village lost in time" (see Robert Anderson's photo above). They hope to arrive in base camp on 12 October. This year for the first time there is a dedicated rope fixing team on the mountain, with the latest news being that they are departing base camp today to try and fix all the way to the summit on 11 - 12 October.

Leader of the Saribung expedition, Ed Chard, expects to arrive in Lo Manthang today (9 October), so they are back on track having driven by jeep directly to Kagbeni, rather than staying overnight in Pokhara.

The weather now is good in time for the bulk of our groups that arrive over the next few weeks. This weekend we have a Kyajo Ri expedition, Manaslu CIrcuit trek and Everest 3 Peaks 3 Passes trek arriving in Kathmandu.
